Professional audio resale

Sell or Consign Used Pro Audio Equipment

Turn idle pro-audio inventory back into working capital through the right secondary market. StradEvents helps production companies, rental houses, staging providers, venues, integrators, schools, universities, houses of worship, and institutions consign or sell professional audio equipment through a resale partner that understands fixed, rental, and production environments.

Consignment First

Built for better recovery on high-value systems.

Cash Buyout

Available when speed and simplicity matter.

Milwaukee Warehouse

Private, climate controlled, appointment only.

Nationwide Logistics

Inbound freight, receiving, demos, and outbound shipment.

Strongest fit

Production-grade systems, racks, consoles, and value-dense pro-audio components.

We are strongest where the equipment has real secondary demand, a clear professional use case, and enough value to justify careful resale work.

Line array systems

Complete or semi-complete arrays, rigging, cases, cabling, amp/control support, and matched inventory.

Subwoofer complements

Touring sub packages, installed low-end systems, and system-matched speaker inventory.

Amp racks and processing

Loaded amp racks, DSP, control ecosystems, processors, and supporting infrastructure.

FOH and monitor consoles

Professional consoles, stageboxes, cards, surfaces, and control packages with buyer demand.

RF and IEM racks

Multi-channel wireless, IEM packages, antenna distribution, and coordinated professional RF systems.

Installed audio packages

Venue, church, school, university, institutional, and integrator-led system upgrades.

We are generally strongest with professional-grade systems, racks, consoles, and high-value components. Consumer/home audio, entry-level PA, loose low-value microphones, small combo wireless kits, and small accessory lots are usually only a fit when included with a larger professional package.

Professional audio inventory handled by StradEvents

Who we work with

Built for production, rental, staging, installation, and venue institutions.

Production and rental companies

Fleet refreshes, tour closeouts, warehouse cleanouts, system changes, and repeatable resale inventory.

Venues and institutions

Installed system upgrades, renovation decommissions, documentation needs, and equipment that needs a professional resale channel.

Integrators and project teams

Installed systems usually work best when the venue, integrator, or project team handles removal as part of the upgrade. From there, we can review the list, advise on packing, coordinate inbound freight, and manage buyout or resale options.

For large closings, decommissions, or high-value production lots, StradEvents can discuss onsite support for decommissioning, packaging, and loading when the scope justifies it.

Brands and platforms

Professional systems and consoles with real buyer demand.

Core system and console brands include L-Acoustics, Meyer Sound, d&b audiotechnik, JBL Professional, DiGiCo, Avid, and Yamaha. We also review Shure, Sennheiser, QSC, Clear-Com, Allen & Heath, Midas, Soundcraft, Crown, Lake, BSS, XTA, Lab Gruppen, Powersoft, RCF, Martin Audio, EAW, Fulcrum, Adamson, Nexo, Electro-Voice, K-array, Lectrosonics, and Wisycom when the value, completeness, or package fit is strong. Buyout or consignment

We Match the Sale Structure to the Gear

When speed matters, we can review professional audio equipment for direct cash buyout. For higher-value systems and lots, consignment may support stronger recovery.

Compare buyout vs. consignment

Professional consignment

Best for higher-value systems, consoles, racks, and lots where the right buyer match can improve recovery.

Direct cash buyout

Useful for speed, smaller high-demand pieces, mixed lots, or sellers who want a clean exit.

Typical high-value pro AV consignment range

20-30% commission

Final terms depend on equipment value, buyer demand, completeness, condition, testing requirements, logistics intensity, value per piece, and expected sell-through timeline. Large systems, strong repeatable inventory, and repeat partners may qualify for more favorable terms. All terms are agreed upfront in writing before equipment is shipped or received.

Consignment usually makes the most sense when the expected resale value of the item or grouped lot is several thousand dollars or more, often around $5,000+ in total recoverable value. Below that, the fixed work of intake, testing, photography, listing, storage, buyer communication, and settlement can outweigh the benefit of a consignment process. Lower-value single items may still be reviewed for direct buyout or as part of a larger package.

StradEvents is relationship-driven by design. Repeat partners, steady supply, strong inventory, and well-documented equipment can support more favorable terms because the process becomes more efficient and predictable for both sides. We are patient where patience creates better recovery: the goal is not just to move the gear quickly, but to place it into the right secondary market where professional buyers understand its value.

Proof in the process

How We Protect Pro Audio Resale Value

We do more than pass inventory from one list to another. Inspection, repair awareness, presentation, buyer education, and application fit all affect recovery.

Meyer Sound UPJ cabinets

During intake, we identified deteriorated acoustic foam, cleaned the cabinets, and refoamed the units before listing them for resale.

Meyer Sound Galileo 408 processor

We diagnosed a failed power supply, identified the correct replacement part, completed the repair, and returned the processor to resale-ready condition.

Mixed professional production lots

We can evaluate larger mixed production-lot opportunities that include audio systems, consoles, processors, cases, lighting, LED, and other touring infrastructure when the lot makes commercial sense.

Professional audio equipment prepared for resale

Storage, discretion, logistics

A private Milwaukee warehouse for professional resale.

Equipment is handled through our private, climate-controlled Milwaukee warehouse, with camera monitoring, no public walk-in traffic, appointment-only demos and receiving, and a private loading dock for freight movement.

Nationwide logistics

We coordinate inbound and outbound logistics nationwide, including parcel, palletized freight, staged receiving, and outbound shipment to qualified buyers.

Storage that creates breathing room

For larger consignments, our warehouse process helps clear seller floor space while equipment is inspected, photographed, listed, demonstrated by appointment, and shipped.

Discreet resale

When appropriate, we de-identify equipment for resale by removing labels, stickers, case markings, paint, visible ownership tags, or other seller identifiers where practical.

Buyer confidence

For qualified buyers, we can support appointment-based demos and testing, helping place equipment into the right fixed, rental, or production application.

Confidentiality terms or NDAs can be discussed for sensitive institutional or production-company dispositions. Insurance and risk terms are addressed in the written agreement for each consignment or buyout.

Questions

Pro Audio Consignment and Buyout FAQ

Do you buy single pro-audio items?

Yes, when the item is professional grade and has meaningful resale demand. A single amplifier, console, processor, speaker, RF component, or high-demand accessory can be a fit. We are generally not the best fit for single low-value microphones, small combo wireless kits, consumer speakers, or entry-level audio gear unless they are part of a larger professional package.

What professional audio equipment is the strongest fit?

The strongest fit is production-grade audio equipment: line array systems, subwoofer complements, touring speaker packages, loaded amp racks, processing and control ecosystems, FOH and monitor consoles, multi-channel RF and IEM racks, installed professional audio packages, and cases, rigging, cabling, or accessories attached to a professional system.

Is consignment or direct buyout better for pro-audio equipment?

It depends on the gear and your priorities. Direct cash buyout can make sense when speed and simplicity matter. Professional consignment is often stronger for higher-value systems, consoles, racks, and lots where the right buyer match can support better recovery. We can also recommend a blended path when that fits the equipment.

Do you work with installed audio systems?

Yes. We review installed professional audio systems from venues, houses of worship, schools, universities, institutions, and integrators. Installed systems usually work best when the venue, integrator, or project team handles removal as part of the upgrade or renovation. For large closings, decommissions, or high-value packages, we can discuss onsite support when the scope justifies it.

What information should I send for a quote?

Send brand, model, quantity, location, condition, and photos if available. Cases, racks, rigging, cabling, accessories, installed-versus-packed status, and any inventory file all help. Photos are optional to start, but they usually reduce back-and-forth before a realistic quote or consignment recommendation.

Do you handle freight, packing, or onsite support?

We coordinate inbound freight and receiving nationwide. For larger production lots, installed systems, or high-value packages, we can discuss packing guidance, palletization, removal planning, staged receiving, and onsite support for decommissioning, packaging, and loading when the value and scope justify it.
